Kayla is a native of Tuscaloosa.

She graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies in 2009 where she was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.  She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2012.

Kayla serves as President of the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association. She is a member of the Alabama State Bar, Volunteer Lawyers Program, and Tuscaloosa County Judicial Commission. She also serves as the Chair of the Northport Redevelopment Authority. 

Kayla is married and has two children.  She enjoys spending time with family and watching her boys play sports.  She and her family are members of Church of the Highlands in Tuscaloosa, AL.
